You did not answer the 2nd part: Why do we even need this? Isn't the tuple of src and dest wire already sufficiently unique? Also: In Vivado switchboxes seem to be a pure UI thing. They are not objects in the vivado database. Isn't this making everything harder for no reason?
Why not simply use the names _that_we_already_have_defined_ in the segibts DBs and simply replace the first part (e.g. "INT_L.") with "<tilename>."? What benefit would we get from a more complicated solution that would require me to know the switchbox name in order to set a PIP?
