I didn't read it as implying that; I assumed if you were e.g. a trans man, you would select both "Transgender" and "Male"
A trans men identifies as having "male" gender, not "trans male". Adding the trans checkbox implies that there is a difference to a "real male" gender identity that is somehow reserved for non-trans people. That's not how gender identity works and is imo pretty offensive.
