The rest of it is still stuck in the metal frame.. I think repairing the tapped hole hole isn't easy because the frame is made from a "soft" metal and the screw is pretty hard, so I can't imagine drilling through the stuck part of the screw without damaging the frame..

Thanks. Ordered a screw extractor set (much cheaper than what I expected). I will let you know how it goes.

huh. suspension on friends tadpole electric car had a screw that broke like that. i found out most of the front end bolts were loose :O what kind of loading normally goes on there?
