This is a known issue, has been fixed (through CR-987146) in 2017.4 and will be documented in AR #70154.
Are we just talking about the fangqing home directory or also about the >1GB msys+mingw files that are installed on Linux but aren't actually needed?

The msys+mingw directories will also be removed from the Linux 2017.4 installation.
