TAG+="uaccess" will get logind to apply an acl on it for the active user. ubuntu had plugdev, udev-acl was a thing for a while toopic.twitter.com/aLc4wxu2L2

syntax and semantics of udev rules have changed over time (e.g., attr vs attrs) + distros use different group names too… not sure 1 fits all
