At least that fixed the UB that comes from using a pointer to zero. Only in very rare cases you'd have an actual object there, so I'm not >>

So long as that NULL pointer to SRAM never gets passed anywhere else... Too much code compares to NULL. 90% of cost of code is maintenance.
