cat doesn't move. since I never assume that "it's a weird cat thing", I guess cat wants me to go down the apt building with her. sure enough

she follows me step-in-step. I open the apt building door, cat sits on a large flower bed, I sit nearby, we spend ~10m next to each other.

eventually it gets too cold for me, I stand up, go to the door, the cat is already there! follows me step-in-step back up and to the apt.

cat *specifically* wanted me to go on a walk with her, and eventually managed to get what she wanted without so much as a single sound.

on the other hand, it definitely involved a multi-step planning process some model of my behavior. I'm impressed yet again.

Replying to @whitequark
Beware of selective interpretation. See for example Robert Sapolsky's (and others) comments on Koko.
