You mean that in the whole of Berkeley, there isn't a single bakery?!? In a population of 100+k.
Sure there are bakeries. But they don't have what I would consider proper bread.

Same in Sweden I've been told by an ex coworker, btw. He learned how to bake bread when he spent a year there.
