The fact that I have a few of those simple single-board logic analyzers prevents me from investing in a proper one. 1/2

Yeah, but I can't justify spending money on it bc I have a solution that kind of works and I only need one a few times a year anyways..

The Saleae are imho really good and getting better. No risk of running out of memory for example.

until you need protocol analyzer on top of that, and it's not really that diverse :-) Just reading a post about 3k new Tek scope w/o MDIO ;)

I'm a SUMP2 fan of course, but Saleae's are my goto devices for deep capture ( streams to Windows DRAM ). Their software is the best IMHO.
