While yosys+arachne+icetool works perfectly on linux, icecube+diamond on windows is the hell, it's the worst enviroment you can use, i h8 it

Yosys even builds with VS. But the "official" windows binaries are cross built with MXE. You can also cross-build arachne-pnr and icestorm.
I don't know if anyone is using the icestorm flow with Linux for Windows, but I don't know of any reason why it shouldn't work.

I use icestorm etc in Cygwin. Works fine, just have to remove -fPIC
