In today's edition of "oh my god everything is so freaking interconnected", I learned a W I L D thing about JavaScript's parseInt function:

it stopped at 'u' since that is outside the range (base 24), so it converted 'n' into number 23. There! But it does confuse us humans!
I don't think anything about that is confusing at all. It's literally what the 2nd argument to parseInt() is for. What behavior would you >>

expect when calling parseInt() with 24 as base instead?

Depends. The name "parseInt" with base # for 2nd arg. would lead me to expect it to parse the string in its entirety, or throw an error >>
