+1 focused/targeted position/tasks description e.g "Experienced C Programmer" is somewhat oke, but "low-level bare-metal ..." way better ;-)

When whiteboarding, *give* the algo to solve problem. Then see how/if they can use it, and what questions they ask. More like actual work.

And by "give", I mean the whole thing. No points for memorizing stuff you can look up. Let's see how you *use* it, and can you implement it.
