      :-| Current gen Rigol Scopes waste practically up to 20% of the screen view space, with menus and empty slots. On my 7', barely 5.8 are used

      Sounds like you have a DS1000, DS2000 and above allow hiding of menus, freeing that screen space for actual trace data.

      yep, the famous 4ch 1054Z. Can't understand how they spent more $$$ on 7' Screens and get lazy on GUI ... doesn't speak good of Rigol

      They do that intentionally so that there is extra value for the higher end scopes, but still can use the same SW platform on everything.

      I'm aware of the reason @RigolTechUSA do like everyone else, but that's not EXTRA Value. It's a good example of wasted $$$ and lost Users.

      If they would use a smaller screen that would probably make the scope more expensive because they would only use it in one product only.

      Still they did not ADD EXTRA Value to the 2000 Series, they REMOVED Value from the 1000 Series. And again K-KK range Rigol barely stands ;-)

      If they would put everything from the RIGOL 3000 into the 1000 they would be the same product. Would you have paid the price of a 3000?

          We are talking about SW Limitation in SW, regarding the SCREEN GUI, which has #NOTHING to do with the SCOPE SERIES or their capabilities.

          Logic Analyzer - I'm paying for that. Memory options - Also paid for that. But GUI Limitation, which took #RIGOL $$$ & effort?! <> Nonsense.
