They do that intentionally so that there is extra value for the higher end scopes, but still can use the same SW platform on everything.
I'm aware of the reason @RigolTechUSA do like everyone else, but that's not EXTRA Value. It's a good example of wasted $$$ and lost Users.
If they would use a smaller screen that would probably make the scope more expensive because they would only use it in one product only.
