Using USBTMC over USB/IP because that is still much easier than communicating with test and measurement equipment via VXI-11.

USBTMC: Just open /dev/usbtmc<N> and use write() and read() to execute SCPI commands.

You can do with just the core endpoint, and the create/destroy/read/write calls. I think it's a nice protocol

Do you have example code online somewhere that does not have 100 library dependencies nor is using binary-only libraries?
