I've never used Vivado. When I started using Xilinx FPGAs I started w/ an old S3 board. And I don't have the extra 20GB for Vivado.
20 GB is only the download. It needs 35 GB to 45 GB when installed, depending on if you install the SDK or not.

Yea, point blank, it's a ridiculous size, and right now I'm not prepared to have both ISE AND Vivado on same machine.

In an ideal world, I would have ISE, Vivado, Quartus, Diamond, yosys, *AND* openfpga installed on the same machine.
