if it wouldn't be configurable you'd still find slave devices of all 4 kinds. We'd just call only one SPI and we had 1/
three other names for the rest. And then we'd have yet another name for controllers that support all 4 types. 2/2

Sure, we have to support all options now. Just wish this was defined from the start, like in other protocols, to avoid the madness
