@oe1cxw So... how'd you figure out that 4k and 8k have the same internal structure (i.e. both use the 8k device switch)?
Of course as soon as you actually look at the bitstreams that iCEcube generates it is pretty obvious that they are the same.

I didn't realize until 15 minutes ago that 4k was RE'd. Good to know my options are open if I need more space in non-BGA!

Btw, e.g. Xilinx 7A15T, 7A35T, and 7A50T are also the same device. (LUT count limit on the smaller devices is software-only.)

That seems deceitful... that means if I were so inclined I could use a 4k as an 8k device (in the TQ-144 package)?
