      You should always at least specify PIN_TYPE when instantiating SB_IO. Don't rely on defaults.

      As PCF flag? Yes, but don't hold your breath. It's not my top priority and cotton hasn't done much lately on arachne-pnr.

      You don't need the bitstream docs for that. Just set PULLUP on the SB_IO cell inferred by arachne-pnr for the IO pin.

          I think it's OK to ask a user to instantiate SB_IO for LVSD inputs. All other IO standards don't imply changes to the bit-stream.
