@oe1cxw Does Yosys have an option to not insert IOBs? Equivalent to "out_of_context" mode in Vivado?

Sorry should've clarified -- Vivado EDIF flow. When Vivado P&R reads the Yosys generated EDIF, it has IOBs...
It should only if they are instantiated in HDL code. synth_xilinx does not infer IOBs.

.. or at least not anymore. It used to infer IOBs until commit 153d3dd4 (Jan 2015).

hmm.. Maybe this is a Vivado-side flag I need to select.. I thought the EDIF could propagate out_of_context metadata.. Let me check
