@oe1cxw It is universally held that PCB are not protected by copyright directly. Still it is good to disclaim warranty.

@FyberLabs The copyright is not for the PCB (physical object), it is for the (manually drawn) layout design files and schematic. - Show replies

@scanlime (1) any particular reason for choosing a copyleft licence? (2) how does copyleft even work if there is no copyright to begin with? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@scanlime Btw, this is not a licence on the layout, it is a license on the design file. But with a permissive license: who actually cares? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@oe1cxw Might (???) be possible that a PCB layout (the result) could become covered in UK, the literature argument: http://poseidon01.ssrn.com/delivery.php?ID=311071073029070107080111005089124120035055026027031023101090114109005123092124123009003043120052118045043117122093127093124018013080071041077125100093006079019011089007006008095097068031009027123078096065064070066030025005088092108076080019107068124068&EXT=pdf … -
@oe1cxw Especially if it contains artistic renderings / prose that is included in the resulting layout, apparently.

@oe1cxw Simple and easy but add link: https://opensource.org/licenses/isc-license.txt … and, maybe after: http://www.isc.org/downloads/software-support-policy/isc-license/ …Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
