@oe1cxw General statement on asics vs gpus. Plenty of room at bottom. For starters...ieee floats and graphics ram huge energy sinks.
@adapteva I agree that there is room for better energy efficiency. (maybe not 100x) but you'd have to specialize your IC for one app only..
