This means I am probably not going to be able to stay in EDA, as the non-compete of his ghost ship company prevents me from working in that field. This is the expressed purpose why he wants me stay tangled up in the old company. To prevent me from ever working in my field again.

He'll probably sue me for a ridiculous amount over these tweets. And then offer me some kind of bizarre deal where I would give him even more control over my life in exchange for false promises that he'll only punch me half as hard, for a short while.

Get legal advice: non-competes have to be very narrow to be enforceable. They definitely cannot block you from an entire industry sector.

I've spent thousands of EUR since October on legal help in this issue. Yes, I could go to court over this. But the way things are going I'll have killed myself to escape this nightmare long before anything comes from that.

Talk to a lawyer. Generally non-competes are mostly null and void Europe. And in general, compensation must be paid for the duration of the NC. A NC cannot prevent you from working in a similar field anyway.

IANAL but some Googling indicates that in Austria: "The employer forfeits their rights under the non-competition clause if they terminate the employee’s employment contract." You've been a huge gift to the EDA community, I hope we can find a way to keep you around and safe.

This aspect isn't about employment but my status as shareholder. He only allows me to give my shares back under conditions that would give him overall even more power over me.
