This is my first day on stims that I acquired legally. I probably should have gotten that ADHD diagnosis much sooner.. I guess this is kind of a theme now in my life.

I was there a couple of months ago, and same feeling; should've done it much sooner! In my experience so far it has helped take the edge off my ADHD in a big way once I got to a reasonable dose. Not a solution, but helps manage. Already much easier to be productive!
Oh, I know. ;) I'm using stims since about 2000.. just never got a diagnosis and thus never had legal access. I'm glad you are feeling better. Another thing that makes a big difference for me is fine-grain todo lists. But without stims that wouldn't work (or not w/o self harm).
