I calculated per minute with round(100 * 60 / 4184), then calculated per day with round(100 * 60 * 60 * 24 / 4184). The "per minute" figure was probably not necessary.
Waahh. /o\ I meant 1.433075.. kcal/min of course. Transcribing numbers is hard. 
Where did you get 4184 from? The SI definition according to Wikipedia seems to be 4186.8. Are there conflicting definitions of kcal? (I would not be surprised. 
)

I remembered it from a class once and googled it to confirm. Different definitions would make sense.

Indeed. Found it: 4184 J/kcal is the definition of "thermochemical kilocalories" (kcal_th). 4186.8 J/kcal is the definition of "international kilocalories" (kcal_IT). I'd guess "international" means SI. The mystery of the missing kcal solved! I'm so relieved.. :D
