If the system is designed for a purpose, then that purpose is obviously to make a max number of trans people invisible or dead, by making every single aspect of transitioning as hard and humiliating as possible. That's not a hot take or anything. It's just a fact.

If it's a bug you fix it, right? However, with these kinds of real world systems it's often that you hear "oh it's a bug, it's not the intended behavior" and then nothing happens, revealing that in fact it is not a bug but the intended behavior.
