I've run a SBC or two off PPP as recent as last year. Idk much about SLIP other than it's like "diet PPP". Serial line internet is fun :D!

@jpawgmafia 1200/75 modem dial in to an X.25 PAD then by telco packet network (charged by the packet, whether 1 byte or 64), to a BBS on a VAX on the other side of the planet (US East coast), then able to internet mail, ftp, telnet from there.Thanks.
