"if you're paying less than it costs" is probably a better way to put that. i'm still amazed that people PAY to put an amazon listening device in their houses.
I agree. However, at least in our case, we are paying significantly more than what it would cost us to operate our own say jitsi server 24/7 that would have a capacity far beyond what we are using. It's safe to say that we are not "paying less than it costs".

Yeah. I was wondering the same thing just as I read your reply. A "Total Cost of Operating" study would be most welcome. It's not just the cost of buying the software and the servers, but the cost of the staff to install and operate the servers.
