I've been playing one of those stupid phone games lately and pay to win as a business model really should be illegal. Not only is it predatory, it also creates a set of incentives for game devs that's destroying the art form.

I played This War of Mine a little bit. But I had to stop a few hours in because it just was too intense for me. But I think that's the intent for that game.. :) Can you recommend a fun game?

Yeah their stuff is pretty dark (which I like) or scifi (if you like that then anomaly series is good). You already listed all the good fun games I know. Maybe kingdom rush.
