Of course it's all "Mr. Wolf" so let's hope that doesn't cause too much confusion.. (approx. three more weeks until I can officially change my gender marker on all my documents)

I just received the letter from the Austrian Consulate General in LA that should allow me to travel home without a passport. A big weight is lifted.

I'm surprised they couldn't issue you a booklet 36-page Notpass booklet (https://www.consilium.europa.eu/prado/de/AUT-AP-03001/index.html …). That would probably make it a lot easier
