Ace Ventura is in the same boat as Crocodile Dundee and The Silence of the Lambs for me. Movies that everyone I knew talked about, and ones that haunted me day and night.
Came here to say The Silence of the Lambs. First I thought those feelings mean I am like that antihero. Then I thought this is what everyone else would think if I'd tell anyone. Took me ages to tell either of my past therapists, in part because I had that movie in mind. 1/2
