And FYI: I had worn wigs for YEARS while letting my own hair grow out, so I get the frustration, believe me. To those who may try to claim I was defending PapaTERF, I WAS NOT.
Thanks for your apology in the other tweet. And I know you have good intentions. But let me tell you that wearing a wig for a few years, with short hair under it growing, is completely different experience from being completely bald under that wig. And knowing it's forever.
I'm not prepared to go into details here in public. But I am willing to share some of the things that I am dealing with because of my hair in a DM, if you think it will help you understand why the two experiences are completely different, and why comparing them can be hurtful.
