I don't think the pros outweigh the benefits in comparison to a goto - or an inlined function even. Is there any but the limited scope of case labels?

Ah, I hadn't thought of handling it this way! I think I like it, it's better than any "follow the coding standard" version would end up. But I'd probably reduce the "crimes against switch statements" to a misdemeanor and throw in a charge of goto:pic.twitter.com/d9jMzcbwdl
