Equally, you can use 10/3=3.3333... and 3.3333...*3=9.9999... to show that 10 and 9.9999... are the same number. But I've only seen it used by people saying they have discovered that math is broken, often implying one way or another that doing math is a waste of time.

Luckily, my Alg I course (too many years ago) drilled it into my head that a contradiction like that meant either no solution ("where do two lines intersect?") or "you did something you weren't supposed to" (divide-by-zero).
