Thanks! But I don't think I would have the time to write a book right now, and probably I am "in too deep" to write a good introductory text anyway.

Might be better for someone else to write the introductory book, but if you ever find time to write up the deeper book, I and everyone else who is paying attention would sure as hell buy it. And of you do it right, it would surely become a classic.

Uh, yes. “Write your own FPGA toolset” is a book I would buy before my brain had time to fully process the words.
