@oe1cxw Would you recommend for embedded systems to do hw acceleration of data processing on an FPGA or on a GPGPU?
Really depends on the algorithm you like to accelerate. That being said, often GPGPU isn't an option for embedded. I've been working with Nvidia Tegra before, but for low volume products you can only integrate existing boards as Nvidia doesn't sell chips in low volume.

My company is looking at the Jetson Xavier as a way to do real time embedded decode processing for a set of algorithms optimized to run on max cpu cores post processing on desktop app.

The concern is short term time to market. But my concern is long term architecture headroom: speed, power consumption, cost etc. sounds like FPGA is the way to achieve the latter and GPGPU for the former.
