What do you do if you have to find a way to work with them? There might be some good ideas there somewhere, but wading through all the deceptive nonsense arguments just to find that one good idea is burning all my energy.

Often it comes down to demanding their assertions are falsifiable and if they remain intransigent in changing their perspective demanding they tell you the standard of evidence by which they would change their mind. Short of those walk away.

Ask them what argument and facts you have to give them to convince them. If they still make up excuses and BS after you give the facts they wanted to see, tell them that they do not care about facts.

On Twitter, block and report. In person or a professional context, the way you frame it depends, but express in some way that you have more useful or more pleasant things to do than try to convince someone who's determined to be wrong.

I can't even say for sure if they are wrong. But it's getting increasingly frustrating to find out because it's becoming impossible to have proper argument about it. That's double frustrating. I don't want to commit the fallacy fallacy, but I'm running out of energy to continue..

Simple! Just say OK to their arguments and walk away. Don't turn and reply anymore.

Had nothing to do with politics whatsoever. But if it would have been about politics: Do you really think "just shut up and let 'the other side' peddle their lies" would have be good advise?!
