@oe1cxw do you know of a 5-10$ ice40 board? looking for something cheap to give away with classes
I think lattice icestick is still the cheapest sane option at ~$21. UPduino is cheaper but not sane, because whoever routed that board is a complete moron and whoever audited the layout is an utter idiot. Decoupling is so bad that you'll have problems to get the PLL to lock.

See also this thread on the UPduino https://twitter.com/oe1cxw/status/950083493073178625 … I haven't tested the UPduino 2 but imo their reputation is ruined and if you want to give it to students you definitely don't want to risk to have to deal with decoupling issues.
