this happens easy with FULL SMD connectors :(, thats why use always "paste in pin" versions where signal pads are SMD but housing through hole..

@esden actually tested how hard it is to rip that USB connector of a board on a previous project and afair it was pretty hard to do, almost impossible to happen by accident. At least not by e.g. simply yanking on the USB cable. - Show replies
