I have not found a single VHDL/Verilog text that I’m happy with. Every single one teaches you the wrong way in increasingly less wrong ways until you are so confused and befuddled you give up and become a js dev where there are no rules.

There are no rules in JS that help one avoid the stupid parts of the language!? I strongly disagree. For example, the following two code snippets are not identical! return { A: 1 }; and return { A: 1 }; Therefore, stupid JS rule #1: Never put { in the next line ever!
