As of this week I'm now officially the vice-chair of the RISC-V Bitmanipulation Task Group within the RISC-V Foundation.
Many thanks to the people who made this possible. I am very excited about this opportunity.

Does it pay so that You can keep working on the FPGA OSS?
No, we are not being paid. :) But there was the question if you need to be a gold or platinum member of the foundation to co-chair a task group. (You need to be one to be chair.) We are only silver member. So there's that. Also: I think it is great publicity for us.

Given that U R already really famous due to Your FPGA OSS tools, what good is that publicity to You? What is that _extra_thing_ that You get with that publicity that You do not get with Your OSS publicity?

It's publicity for
@symbiotic_eda in circles that we want as customers for our formal verification tools, including riscv-formal. Hacker fame is nice, but it doesn't pay the bills. - Show replies
