Dr. Strangelove. 7 Days in May. The Manchurian Candidate. Any similar movies that I should be aware of?

FYI - I tried watching "7 Days in May" last week. Didn't age very well. Fell asleep. The other two are great. I recommend "By Dawn's Early Light" a 1980's cold-war movie with an unhinged "Designated Survivor" POTUS.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099197/ …
Interesting. I have also rewatched 7 Days in May recently and thought it's more relevant than ever.. I will check out By Dawn's Early Light.

Story subject is certainly relevant, it was just movie style itself was really slow. Some old movies hold up much better than others ( Gone With the Wind, The Longest Day, Planet of the Apes, etc ). Others that I loved as a kid ( Soylent Green, Bullet ) I can't watch anymore.

Oh, I see. I usually watch BW movies specifically because I'm in the mood for slower pacing. (Or the absence of most movie tropes, or stories that make sense. :)
