My workstation has learned a few new tricks: It can produce bright flashes and smoke, and can remote control the fuses in my house. Unfortunately it has forgotten how to do all the other useful things it knew how to do, like booting.

Fortunately it looks like a power supply problem. Took me an hour to get that damn thing out there, but it now remote controls fuses without the rest of the PC. I just hope it didn't destroy anything else when it failed.

Don't tempt me to figure out why exactly it failed.. But it was running 24/7 for the last ~6 years, so I think whatever the failure was, we shouldn't hold it against this PSU. :)
