I'm surprised to learn that GlobalFoundries is dropping all 7nm and smaller process development for business reasons to focus on specialized higher-volume 14nm/12nm processes: https://www.anandtech.com/show/13277/globalfoundries-stops-all-7nm-development … AMD was targeting both TSMC and GF for 7nm, but expecting to use TSMC first.

Others are citing this as a sign of the end of Moore's Law, but I'm not. I'm just surprised that GF thinks they don't need 7nm.
