I co-founded @symbiotic_eda because I wanted to be able to work on open source tools. Now I'm facing pressure to make my work closed source. I'd rather do something else completely.

i really understand the frustration of not being "economically" rewarded for all the effort you put into FOSS EDA. Open source devs have to find patrons like artists at Renaissance times!! Or one could cram in some "planned support" like the "planned obsolescence" of BigCo! :-)
