I am not aware of any phages that reproduce in eukaryotes (or eukaryote organelles) but nature is wild and cares little for our categories

So true. I know that's pretty basic, but I never get tired of explaining ring species to people that think nature cares about distinct categories of "kinds" of animals. (These are conversions with very mixed results, as one would guess. :)
