We are working on a new place-and-route tool to replace arachne-pnr in Project IceStorm. Not quite finished yet but check it out: https://github.com/YosysHQ/nextpnr It is portable to other architectures and already contains experimental ECP5 support. I got as far as compiling and starting the GUI. Unfortunately after that, there are lots of bugs making it unusable and right now I don't have the bandwidth to try fixing them. Command line works great though!pic.twitter.com/9fU9PCqJaL

Note: This is MinGW64 build, which appears to be supported (and doing an MSVC build just for one piece of software when I've done it hundreds of times seems silly...).

I thought that a lot of effort was being put into getting vpr to work. That project is completely unrelated then? Soon we'll need a FPGA pnr selection guide for dummies
