Don't want to use PicoRV32 with AXI4-Lite? Then simply do not use that adapter. Most users don't. Our PicoSoC reference SoC doesn't contain any AXI either. Don't want to use PicoRV32 at all? That's also fine. But don't spread ridiculous lies about it!

Wtf, it takes at most 1 minute to see that picorv32 *itself* does not use any standardized bus. The name picorv32_axi should be a dead giveaway...
-
Just taking the time to read the README .md file is enough to figure this out too.

Without looking deeper, this sounds a lot like it was written by someone with four letters as username. :) Either way, it always sucks when wrong information takes hold and all you can do is to endlessly explain the situation :/

Ad four letters username: I am pretty sure I know exactly who you mean and no it's not that person. :)

Huh? Rocket native bus isn’t AXI either.

Don't the SiFive "coreplex" top level modules all provide AMBA? But yes, that paragraph on Rocket is equally misleading. A person integrating RocketTile would only need to deal with TileLink. (But at least they mention this as an option for rocket.)
