Three years. The @XilinxInc engineering team is "investigating" on how to fix a trivial bug in HLS co-simulation related to the order of include directories for three years now. This is just surreal.pic.twitter.com/F7JU89tcwe

Here are some more details regarding that last one. For months @XilinxInc refused to create a CR because they couldn't reproduce the multi-threading bug in a single-core VM.

If anyone is wondering about the first bit in that email regarding the Ubuntu 16.04 image and disabling updates: I originally reported this stating my OS is 16.04.1 (i.e. 16.04 with regular updates). @XilinxInc stated that 16.04.1 is not supported, only 16.04 is. 1/
After I explained that 16.04.1 is just 16.04 with updates pre-installed, they doubled down and said that 16.04 with any updates is not supported, only the 16.04 image as originally distributed in April 2016 is. 2/
So I first had to install that exact version of Ubuntu with updates disabled in a VM and demonstrate the issue there before they were willing to even look at the details of the exact issue I was reporting. I wonder if they have a similar no-updates policy for Windows. 3/3
Given that @XilinxInc is shipping images of some developers' machines with Vivado to get around the "works for me" problem I'm not surprised.
