What I like most about "The Elements of Programming Style" is that all the examples of bad code are taken from actual (60s and 70s) programming textbooks. I always thought one couldn't write a C version because times changed and one wouldn't find C examples. I take it all back.

Funny you should mention this, I recall seeing in this thread: Kernighan (one of the authors of "The Elements of Programming Style"- TIL) said this is the worst book on C he's ever seen- possibly recently too?

But what about the 2nd edition? It comes with a disk!
